Why does a baby get a diaper rash?

There are several common reasons why diaper rash can occur. While The Best Diaper Rash Ointment will help the natural healing process, it is ideal to identify the source of irritation and eliminate the cause when possible.

• Dirty Diapers
  Soiled diapers are one of the most common causes of diaper rash. It can also lead to a bacterial infection. Change baby’s diaper as soon as you know he/she’s gone potty.

• Excessive moisture
  Make sure the baby’s diaper area is completely dry before putting on a clean diaper. Diapers do a great job of preventing leakage, but they can also trap moisture.

• Chafing
  Diapers are meant to fit onto your little one’s body, but if a diaper is too tight it can chafe your baby’s skin. The chafing can cause a diaper rash, so try switching to a bigger size if the baby’s diapers are getting tight.

• Changes in baby’s diet

• Your little one’s stool may change if you’ve made a change from breast milk to formula or transitioned to solid foods.

Pour a small amount into your hand. Carefully apply to baby's hair and skin, rinsing well. Follow bath time with our Super Soft Lotion.

Pour baby shampoo into your hand. Rub both hands together until well coated with product. Gently massage baby shampoo into hair and scalp. Carefully rinse. Follow with our leave-in Conditioning Hair Polish.

fragrance free soothing body wash directions
Pour body wash into your hand or on a washcloth. Carefully apply to baby's skin and rinse well. Follow bath time with our Super Soft Lotion. Soothing Body Wash can also be poured directly into bath water to create a gentle and effective moisturizing bath.

Pour baby lotion into your hand. Rub both hands together to warm lotion. Gently apply baby lotion to face and body. Can also be used at diaper change.

ultimate ointment directions
For diaper rash and bottom care, apply a thick layer of ointment on perfectly clean, dry skin at every diaper change. For ultra dry skin, apply ointment as needed until skin is soft and supple. Three day treatment for cradle cap, apply a thick layer of ointment on clean, dry scalp and cover with an all-cotton cap. Reapply twice daily covering with cap after each application. Do not wash hair until the fourth day. After shampooing, gently comb out dry skin. For eczema, apply a thick layer to clean, damp skin. Reapply as needed.

Apply liberally and evenly 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply after 40 minutes of swimming or sweating. Immediately after towel drying and at least every 2 hours. Children under 6 months of age: ask a doctor.
