Country superstar Carrie Underwood is ready to knock life-threatening diseases like cancer out of the park. Well, she’s ready to knock some softballs over the fence, anyway, and it’s for a good cause.
Underwood is taking part in the 8th Annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge, which will take place in Nashville, Tennessee on June 4th. The game will feature two celebrity-packed teams competing to raise funds for City of Hope, “an innovative biomedial, research, treatment, and education institute dedicated to prevention and cure of cancer and other life-threatening illness.”
So far, in addition to Underwood, country legend Vince Gill has made the team, and they’ll be joined by Phil Vassar, Chuck Wicks, Danielle Peck, James Otto, and Jake Owen. If you’re interested in watching some celebrity softball for a good cause, head to Ticketmaster. Tickets start at just $18, so really, you can’t go wrong!
